As part of EarCare's commitment to have the latest technology available for the benefit of our patients, all our offices are equipped with state-of-the-art video otoscopes.
Video otoscopy is a convenient, easy way for our hearing health care consultants to examine the ear canal and eardrum using a video camera while displaying it on a screen. You will also have the opportunity to observe the process.
By performing video otoscope we are able to detect:
- Excessive accumulation of earwax.
- Perforations to the eardrum.
- Ear canal infections.
- Scar tissue on the eardrum.
- Any abnormalities in the ear canal.
If such conditions exist, it is our policy to refer you to your physician for further evaluation.
